The Brevity of Chaos

There is a moment like no other, a moment when you look up and see the dark clouds rolling in. The wind picks up letting you know that all the indicators are present for a volatile and tumultuous storm. There is no calm. The trees appear as though they are laying down and have no might against the now, no longer approaching, but very present storm. Is there a way to escape the whirlwind? Can there be any brevity to this chaos?

So often in life we face storms which come in like a rushing wind and in a moment our lives are turned upside down with an onslaught of difficulty, confusion and pain. A bad report, a broken family, loss of a loved one, a sudden loss of a job, and so many other things, can bring devastation and threaten your very survival. Moments that by our might and intellect, appear as though we’re utterly powerless against. Have you been there? Have you stood in the midst of the rippling waves hoping only to survive the turbulent force? Well, if you’ve been there – and I certainly have – let me share something with you. God can bring sheer brevity to the chaos and resolve it in a way that things turn out in your favor. In other words, He’ll bring a fast resolve to your dilemma and expedite your deliverance.

Let me give you an example. There are times when an uninvited guest comes to your house and wants to stay longer than they should. The fact is, they weren’t invited and they’ve long since overstayed their welcome. In a case such as this, you need to let them know it’s time for them to leave. Time’s up. No more subtle hints, just escort them to your door and let them know it’s time to get out. This is the exact way we need to handle things when trouble arrives. Don’t let it just simply hang around. No, put it out because it’s unwelcome and it doesn’t belong there. There’s a time when you just have to evict problems from your life. They’ve stayed long enough and it’s past time for them to go.

That said, you may be wondering how do you get rid of the chaos that’s so invaded your peace. The answer is, you do it, “In the Name of Jesus”. Use His Name to take authority over every stronghold and problem that’s brazen enough to present itself. There is power in the Name of Jesus which is far greater than anything that you’re dealing with. At His Name, everything must bow it’s knee. The Bible says in I Timothy 6:12, that we are to fight the good fight of faith. Not faith in our abilities, but in the power of God. Did you notice the word “fight” was there. It tells me that we’re not supposed to just take whatever life hands us, but we’re to fight against it and be victorious. Know there is power for your deliverance, healing, and restoration.

If your problem is sickness, every time you have a disparaging thought like you’re not going to make it, speak God’s Word that says “By His stripes I am healed!” and, “I’ll live and not die and declare the glorious works of the Lord”. Declare God’s Word boldly in the face of every form of strife and adversity. Determine that something has to give, and that something is never going to be your faith. Stand firm, refusing to budge until you get your breakthrough. You do that and I can tell you – it’s coming. With a certainty, you’re going to come through this.

Here’s the bottom line. No matter what you’re going through, God loves you and whether you know it or not, He said He would never leave you, and He won’t. Don’t fight this or any other battle alone. Call out to God. He knows you’re tired and He promised to give you rest. Know that He loves you with an unfailing love. Stop now and ask Him to step into your situation and He‘ll do in a moment what you couldn‘t do in a lifetime. It’s time for this battle to be over. Allow God to be the Lord of your life and watch as he brings brevity to the chaos and sets you completely free!
